Infact the reformers list is long regaurding all state health insurance options, and all with the same fault.

They think they can control somthing that is not theirs to control. Alot like many of the other programs that the shove down our throats, but this time the people are getting vocal about and and we are not going easily.

Stand up for your rights, take control of your health care expenses while you can before someone else trys do do it for you.

This is not a government site, and designed to help individuals understand the concept.

The new COBRA subsidy program is included among the components of the federal government’s economic stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The Act provides a 65 percent federal subsidy on COBRA continuation coverage premiums to all qualified beneficiaries receiving continuation coverage due to the covered employee’s involuntary employment termination between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.

COBRA beneficiaries are eligible for the
65 percent premium for a maximum of 9 months, beginning March 1, 2009. This is not retroactive.

Check with your agent, state official site for all the info!
The Federal government is still developing details of the subsidy. The government will be sharing details about this over the next 30 days, and as they do, we will communicate them to our visitors.

If you are wondering how this law impacts your book of business, we believe that it can have a positive impact on your sales growth. For some the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will be beneficial, for others, Blue Shield may have more affordable options.

Americans have taken Health Care for granted for years. With a strong economy , and businesses providing healthcare benefits the majority of America grew to expect benefits, and as companies grew and quality employees were in demand companies enriched their benefits to attract employees.

Now we are seeing the other side of that, where Americans are not covered by health care, benefits are being cut to save corporations from financial disaster and America is becoming MORE and MORE UN-Insured.

Many people are looking toward Norway Health system and other like it.

The number of uninsured Americans is at an all time high, says the Census. Many factors are to blame. Some of these factors are sluggish employment rates, decline in employer sponsored insurance and the rising cost of private health insurance premiums.

The first step to changing these numbers is to educate Americans on the Government funded plans available to them. Some people may be eligible and not even know it. People 65 or older or have disabilities are often eligible for Medicare for example.

Some people may be eligible for programs such as Medicaid or Children’s Health plans if they meet the eligibility requirements. It simply just takes a little knowledge to figure out of your qualified. We will go over the basics of these programs here.

Medicare

is the nations largest health insurance program. It is designed to cover the elderly over the age of 65. It can cover some disabled people under the age of 65. And it will cover all people with End-Stage Renal Disease. You can get eligibility requirements, fees and information at your local Social Security office or at www.socialsecurity.gov .

Medicaid

is available to some low income individuals or families. Medicaid is a State administered program and each State has it own eligibility guidelines. Your child may be eligible even if you are not. You should visit your States Department of Human Services for more information.

What will the new president elect do about his promiss on FREE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR EVERY AMERICAN ? Well it looks as if that was a bit of a campaign ploy, as of today no FREE FOR ALL plan exist.

There are several FREE and LOW COST options availible for individuals, families and especially children that we provide links, facts and information on. Most of these plans will be State Government plans and many come with conditions or income requirements.

Other than FREE INSURANCE there are also many supplemented plans, where the government will pay a portion to subsidise the cost to the consumer, and the consumer will pay a reduced cost for covergae provided by traditional health insurance carrier.

Carrier Direct plans are alos availble, and with the econome today and the impending threat of Gorernment intervention the carriers are doing all they can to ensure the millions of un-insured are getting covergae, but most do not know about all the new plans availible just in 2009.
